Your game. Your choices.
Cookies and browser storage · 27 September 2026
Fuse uses browser storage to run the game you request, restore progress, keep you signed in, and remember choices such as dismissing a prompt. Optional PostHog gameplay analytics stays off until you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining has no effect on gameplay, saved progress or the leaderboard. This release has no advertising cookies or session recordings.
Optional gameplay analytics
PostHog helps us understand game sessions, progress, returning players, sign-ups and whether suggestions are useful. We do not record your screen or send your email, password or player name. You can play with analytics off.

| Storage | What it does | When it ends |
|---|---|---|
fuse.play.v1Local storage | Older local guest boards, undo state, up to 365 completed runs and the sound preference saved with them. These saves are unranked. | Until you clear older local saves or your browser clears site data. Removing this copy does not delete data already saved online. |
fuse.sync.v1.*Local storage | Pending guest or account moves and their last verified board, stored separately for each player and game mode. This lets play continue while saves are sent in the background. | Removed after the moves are confirmed by the server. Unsynced moves remain on this device until saved or site data is cleared. |
fuse.auth.session and related authentication verifier keysLocal storage | Your guest or signed-in player session, handled by Supabase. This connects this browser to online saves and scores. Temporary email-link verification state is used only when email delivery is enabled. | The session is refreshed while in use; signing out removes the current saved session. Losing or clearing a guest session can lose access to that guest’s online data. When enabled, temporary email verification state is consumed by the sign-in flow. |
fuse.mode.v1.*, fuse.sound.v1Local storage | Your last game mode and sound preference. | Until changed or browser site data is cleared. |
fuse.guest-import.v1Local storage | Remembers that an older guest save was brought online, so signing out cannot copy it into another player. | Until browser site data is cleared. |
fuse.analytics-consent.v1Local storage | Remembers whether you allowed or declined optional analytics. An older storage-notice dismissal is not analytics consent. | Until you change it here or clear site data. |
ph_*, fuse.analytics-player.v1Local storage; only after consent | PostHog analytics identifier and the Fuse player identifier used to link sessions and retain continuity when a guest creates an account. PostHog may use session storage for session identifiers. | Cleared when analytics is turned off or site data is cleared. |
fuse.analytics-runs.v1Session storage; only after consent | Remembers up to 200 run milestones or completions to avoid counting an undo/reload twice. | When the tab closes, analytics is turned off, or older entries are replaced. |
fuse.analytics-auth.v1Session storage; only after consent | One-time account-completion marker across a Google sign-in redirect. Contains mode, player ID and timestamp; no authentication credentials. | Removed after the return page reads it; expires after five minutes for tracking purposes, or when the tab closes. |
fuse.storage-notice.v1Local storage | Remembers that you dismissed the storage notice. | Until site data is cleared or a new notice version is introduced. |
fuse.install.snooze.v1Local storage | Remembers your “Maybe later” choice on the home-screen suggestion. | The dismissal is respected for seven days. The timestamp remains until overwritten or cleared. |
fuse.play-prompts.v1Local storage | Stores only timestamps for account, installation and reminder suggestions. These space suggestions apart and remember “Not now”; no game scores, account details or tracking identifiers are stored here. | Recent impressions count for 24 hours. Dismissals last three days for account suggestions and seven days for installation or reminders. Timestamps remain until updated or browser site data is cleared. |
fuse.play-prompts.session.v1Session storage | Remembers that this tab has already shown an automatic suggestion, including across page reloads. | Until the tab's browsing session ends. |
| Service worker registration and browser push subscription | Supports installation and, only after your explicit choice, delivery of reminders. | Until unregistered or cleared by your browser. Turn off reminders in Account to remove the subscription. |
You stay in control
Online play keeps its current sound setting for the session; older local saves may also contain a sound preference. The former storage notice’s “Got it” button did not grant analytics permission. Use the controls above to allow or withdraw analytics at any time. Withdrawal stops new analytics and removes its browser identifiers; previously received events require a deletion request as described in the Privacy Policy. Leaderboard inclusion starts on for new players and can be turned off in Account. An existing choice to turn it off is preserved. Notifications stay off until you enable them separately.
Use browser site settings to clear all data and permissions for Fuse, including the worker registration. Blocking required storage may prevent sign-in or returning to a guest game. Clearing site data removes the guest session and may make its online saves inaccessible; create an account from that guest profile first to keep access. Clearing browser storage does not delete online player data. Registered account holders can use the deletion control in Account. Guests can contact the operator using the details in the Privacy Policy; keep the guest session available while making a request.
Clear older local saves
This removes the older unranked guest saves and sound preference stored in this browser under fuse.play.v1. Your current guest or account session, pending online moves and online saves stay in place. This does not delete online player data or notification permissions.
If storage changes
New optional uses will be explained here before they are enabled. Analytics, installation, leaderboard participation and notifications have separate controls.
